Sorry festival punters, you’re going to have to hold out just a little longer to soak up the big action: after detailing plans to go ahead in January 2021 earlier in the year, Yours & Owls Festival have now announced that their upcoming 2021 event will move to April.
Originally slated to occur over Australia Day weekend this summer, the two day Wollongong festival, headlined by Tones & I, BENEE, Cosmo’s Midnight and DMA’s, will now go down from over April 17 and 18 2021 at Stuart Park, Wollongong NSW.
Luckily, the festival has also announced that all originally announced artists who signed on for Yours & Owls 2021 will be able to take part in the rescheduled event.
In a statement circulated this morning, the organisers accredited their decision to move the event to the prospect of having to contend with the uncertainty of health regulations, predicting that the new dates in April will allow for a much more ‘normal’ festival experience.
To spare you from the arduous details, the short story is, we want to deliver the festival to you all in the closest form possible that you are used to from us,” the statement reads.
“With January now on our doorstep and so many regulations still up in the air, we have decided to move to April to give us a more concrete opportunity to achieve that and ensure you all have time to sort your travel and accom logistics.”
Punters who are unable to attend the new dates are able to receive a full refund for their tickets for the next 14 days from today, with resale facilities also being open for ticket owners to sell their stubs to another fan in the wings.
