The fifth-generation line adds phone-based control and room correction to KRK's flagship reference monitors, in three sizes.

The fifth-generation monitors introduce KRK Mesh, the brand’s wireless connectivity technology, working alongside the KRK Control App. From a mobile device you can adjust system settings, compare EQ profiles, manage levels and fine-tune each speaker once it’s installed, without reaching around the back of the cabinet. Set up as a stereo pair or as part of a larger Dolby Atmos rig, the monitors can be handled one at a time or grouped together.
“The V Series has long been KRK’s flagship studio monitor, trusted by engineers and producers around the world for its precision and reliability,” says Andrew Ladner, KRK’s marketing manager. “V Series Five builds on that legacy, delivering the sonic accuracy for which the V Series is known, while evolving to meet the demands of today’s modern workflows.”
Each model pairs a woven Kevlar woofer in a cast aluminium frame, tuned for low distortion and linear low-frequency response, with a one-inch silk dome tweeter and an integrated waveguide that keeps imaging steady off-axis. The electronics run ESS converters, Analog Devices DSP and Pascal Class D amplification, sending 280 watts to the low-frequency driver and 175 to the high.
For placement, 49 preset Boundary EQ combinations tailor the sound to a room, with seven fully parametric PRO EQ filters for finer adjustment and three user presets that store and recall settings for quick comparison. On the back, NEUTRIK combo XLR/TRS inputs take both analogue and AES3 digital, along with a ground lift, adjustable input sensitivity, a standby mode and integrated mounting points.
The range comes in three sizes: the V4, the V6 and the V8. The V4 matches a four-inch woofer with a response from 48 Hz to 40 kHz and a maximum 113 dB SPL. The V6 moves up to a 6.5-inch woofer, reaching down to 40 Hz and 118 dB. The V8 runs an eight-inch woofer to 32 Hz and peaks at 121 dB, with the headroom for serious mixing and mastering.
