“You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at 10 all the way up … you’re at 10 on your guitar, where can you go from there?” – Nigel Rufnel from Spinal Tap.

He’s right you know. If you’re in the rare situation that everything is maxed out, you have very limited options in obtaining a louder sound. The MOJOMOJO overdrive pedal can help you in this endeavour, and more functionally, provide an overdriven sound while still maintaining some dynamic range.

Designed in collaboration with Paul Gilbert from Mr Big fame, they have swapped the voice setting from the original MOJOMOJO pedal in place of an ’11’ switch. When engaged, this provides a large gain boost for increased drive and attack.

Inside a new purple enclosure, the Paul Gilbert edition features many of the same features as the original. There’s Drive, Level, Bass and Treble knobs to tweak the overdrive sound and a True Bypass foot switch for disengaging the effect.

Circuit board voltage has been stepped up to provide increased headroom and dynamics on the MOJOMOJO pedal. TC Electronic says about this new feature it will keep “your tone crisp – but not toasted!” Sounds ideal.
