“Instruments and race cars have a lot in common. No matter if it’s their sleek designs, round curves, or breathtaking paintwork, both release adrenaline among enthusiasts and are catching people’s eyes all around the globe.”

Sandberg says that legendary Hollywood films and today’s racetracks inspired this line of basses, adding “We took that chance and dove into the world of Racing Car design to come up with this very special run of instruments”.

Produced in their classic shapes, they have the California TT in ruby red with crème racing stripes, the California VS in British racing green, the California TM in light grey with red and blue racing stripes, and the Forty Eight in dyna coat blue with orange racing stripes.

Both the California TT (single coil pickups, passive EQ) and California VS (active three-band EQ) come in an alder body with a maple neck and fretboard, while the California TM (active two-band EQ) and Forty Eight (active two-band EQ) come in an alder body with a maple neck and ebony fretboard.

All basses come with the soft-aging treatment, featuring aged hardware to suit the racing theme, as well as a celebratory 35 decal.
