Soundwide: Native Instruments & iZotope team up with Plugin Alliance and Brainworx

"The new epicentre for digital music production"

Native Instruments, iZotope, Plugin Alliance and Brainworx have formed Soundwide, a new parent company. The partnership has brought together some of the most important audio technology companies, and staples Soundwide as the new epicentre for digital music production.

iZotope, an audio technology program that is used for recording, mixing, sound design, and broadcasting, partnered in 2021 with Native Instruments, a manufacturer in software and hardware for audio production.

Plugin Alliance provides plugins and other creative tool selections, with Brainworx being a facet of this larger platform, working in high-end software that mimics analogue hardware from their international partners.

The four companies have also been joined by the relatively new Sound Stacks, by Cesare Ferrari and Julian Storer, who created JUCE, an open-source audio framework. Sound Stacks works on new audio technologies to improve production and benefit developers.

Soundwide provides a more streamlined experiences for users, with a closer interaction between products and, in the long-term, technologies worked on by the collective minds behind these companies.

A panel of some of the best producers, artists, and creators have come together to form Soundwide’s artist board, who will guide on products, features, communities, and greater inclusivity. Inaugural members of this board include singer/songwriter Alicia Keys, recording engineer Ann Mincieli, composer Ludwig Göransson, musician Jacob Collier, rapper/producer El-P from Run the Jewels, and more.

To start things off, Soundwide have made free to the public several plugins, including Native Instruments’ Ethereal Earth, iZotrope’s Neutron Elements, as well as Plug-in and Brainworx’s six plug-in Welcome Bundle.

These will all be available, free of charge, until April 26.
