The free update lets you paste Beat Panner's beat-locked movement straight onto Object Tracks as editable automation.
Sound Particles has released Beat Panner 1.1, a free update that takes the plugin’s beat-synced movement into object-based mixes. Beat Panner already builds panning patterns that lock to the tempo of a track without any manual keyframing, with the movement set on the sequencer and the sound following the beat from there, and the new version takes that motion into a full object-based environment.

The addition is Metadata Automation. Beat Panner generates metadata as it moves a sound around the field, and 1.1 lets you copy that metadata and paste it directly as automation onto Object Tracks, replicating every beat-locked movement inside an object-based mix. From there it’s ready for further shaping, layering and export to any supported immersive format.
Once pasted, the automation stays fully editable inside Object Tracks, so the movement can be refined, blended or layered with other spatial elements rather than locked in place. Connecting Beat Panner’s rhythm-driven patterns to the precision of object-based mixing makes it a fit for immersive music, film and game audio alike.
“This new feature can have a big impact on music object-based workflows. By copy/pasting automation, you can replicate the Beat Panner movements that you love into object tracks,” said Nuno Fonseca, founder and CEO of Sound Particles.
Sound Particles builds audio tools using techniques borrowed from computer graphics, and its software has turned up on films and series including Oppenheimer, Dune, Mission Impossible and Stranger Things. Beat Panner 1.1 is available now as a free update for existing Beat Panner owners.
