Skills / Experience Required:

  • At least two years’ experience in a professional copywriting or media environment.
  • A tertiary qualification in journalism, media, communications, professional writing or a related area is desirable.
  • Exceptionally strong writing and editing skills.
  • An understanding of the interrelationships been various music and arts industry stakeholders; PR, labels, touring businesses, venues, agencies etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience using a web based CMS like WordPress or Drupal.
  • Experience using all major social media platforms.
  • An understanding of, and passion for Melbourne’s cultural and entertainment sectors across music, arts, food, festivals, clubs etc.

Tasks / Responsibilities Include:

  • Writing, sourcing and publishing written content about a broad range of topics of interest to cultural enthusiasts living in Melbourne and Victoria.
  • Application of Beat’s SEO strategy to all website content.
  • Coordinating Beat’s social media channels and spearheading strategies to encourage audience engagement and growth.
  • Creating and sending e-newsletters to subscribers and driving subscription numbers through initiatives such as competitions and giveaways.
  • Closely working with Beat’s advertising and content sales team and assisting in identifying commercial opportunities, engaging with advertisers/partners and conceiving commercial content ideas.
  • Managing the rollout of commercial and branded content across Beat’s digital platforms.

Account Manager – Sony Music (Sydney)

You will be working within the EMI Production Music division of Sony Music Publishing, the largest music publisher in the world.

Located at our Surry Hills office, they’re excited to be on the lookout for a confident, energetic and creative Account Manager/Creative Synch Exec with knowledge in a wide range of musical genres to join their team.

As part of a small team, you will be focused on promoting our production music catalogue to a large number of high profile clients in the TV, Film, Radio, Advertising and Digital media sectors. The role is extremely varied, requiring both versatility and a willingness to exercise initiative.

Music Theatre Lecturer – WAAPA/ECU (Perth)

Senior Audio Engineer – AVPartners

AVPartners is Australia’s most innovative audiovisual event staging company, employing some of Australia’s most experienced events industry professionals.

Based at Crown Perth with the ability to work at our other Perth venues, AVPartners is offering exciting opportunities for highly experienced Audiovisual Technicians seeking a full-time position commencing within the month of preferably September to October.

Working with the Event Management team, our Audiovisual Technicians ensure the technical quality of our events is of the highest possible standard and will set up, operate and dismantle all events.

Skills / Experience Required:

  • Experience in the corporate audiovisual events industry ( 5 years Min 10 years Preferred )
  • Significant knowledge of Midas Pro series, Yamaha CL and QL and Soundcraft SI and Ui Consoles
  • Significant knowledge of L-Acoustics Soundvision, L-Net software, Shure and Sennheiser RF Systems
  • Basic knowledge of Vision and Lighting equipment
  • Good work ethic, positive attitude and be willing to work flexible hours including weekends and nights
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Desire to work in a team environment
  • Preferably hold a current EWP license
  • Preferably hold a Doggers & Basic Riggers Ticket (Preferably Intermediate Riggers Ticket)
  • Must be able to get a Clear Police clearance valid with the last 4 months
