The limited edition model is a love letter to the iconic ’61 SG.
If you’ve watched Jake Kiszka tear through a Greta Van Fleet set, you already know the relationship he has with his 1961 SG. That bond is exactly what Gibson has tried to bottle with the new Jake Kiszka SG Standard Faded Vintage Cherry, a limited-edition instrument built to his specifications in Nashville and made for players who take their tone as seriously as he does.

The guitar is a faithful tribute to the ’61 SG that’s been by Kiszka’s side since Greta Van Fleet’s early days, with a few key touches that make it his own. A modified and locked Sideways Vibrola tailpiece keeps things period-correct while adding a bit of practical stability, and T-Type humbucker pickups deliver the warm, singing output that’s defined his playing across multiple albums and tours across the globe. The mahogany neck runs a SlimTaper profile, making it fast, comfortable and well-suited to the style of playing Kiszka is known for.
Finish-wise, the Faded Vintage Cherry is exactly what it sounds like: a worn, lived-in look that suits the instrument’s classic lineage. A regular backplate is fitted to the guitar, but open the case and you’ll find a hand-signed and stamped backplate alongside a custom leather strap featuring a metallic coin pendant designed by Kiszka himself, carrying his personal symbol. It’s a small detail, adding a layer of authenticity that collectors and fans will appreciate.

Production is extremely limited worldwide, and Australia is getting just two units, available exclusively through Mooloolaba Music and Guitar Brothers from mid-May 2026. It’s not a soft launch, but a sprint.
For players drawn to the SG’s natural resonance, slim profile and rock pedigree, the Jake Kiszka model is worth checking out.
