The new DVA vibrato engine and sub-millisecond Live Latency Mode headline a rebuilt pitch correction algorithm, alongside a redesigned key and scale workflow.
Antares has released AutoTune Advanced, positioned as the new flagship of its transparent pitch correction lineup, available for macOS and Windows in AAX, AU, and VST3 formats.
Rebuilt from the algorithm up, AutoTune Advanced is built around a new DVA (patent-pending) engine, designed to preserve a singer’s natural vibrato and character through correction rather than flattening it out. The plug-in also introduces a redesigned scale editing workflow, key and mode selection now consolidated onto a single panel, and a seventy-eight-key visual keyboard for note-by-note control over which pitches get corrected and which are left untouched.

The DVA engine allows vibrato to be preserved, cut, or boosted by ear, with a real-time visualiser showing exactly what the engine is detecting as it processes a vocal. Users can also generate vibrato where none previously existed, using sine, square, saw, or triangle waveshapes for more creative vocal effects.
For live use, AutoTune Advanced introduces a new Live Latency Mode, designed to keep processing delay under one millisecond across sample rates from 44.1kHz right through to 192kHz. A Low Latency mode is aimed at general studio work, while a High Quality mode is reserved for final mixes and bounces. The plug-in’s underlying DSP has also been rebuilt for stability across large sessions running multiple instances simultaneously.
Elsewhere, a Transpose and Formant Designer lets users shift pitch and apparent vocal size independently across a twelve-semitone range in either direction, whether linked together for clean transposition or unlinked for more experimental vocal transformations. AutoTune Advanced is also fully compatible with AutoKey 2, automatically detecting a track’s key, scale, and tempo and syncing that information across every instance running in a session.
The release includes a set of signature presets developed with Grammy-winning producers and engineers, including Ann Mincieli, Bart Schoudel, and David “Yungin” Kim, offering instant access to vocal chains modelled on their own production work.
Antares positions AutoTune Advanced as the choice for engineers who want the most natural-sounding correction available alongside real-time tracking capability, while AutoTune Pro 11 remains the pick for anyone needing manual pitch editing in Graph Mode or built-in harmony generation — features not included in the new Advanced release.
