Fender has unveiled the Fender Silent System, a new solution the company describes as an innovative breakthrough on the eighty-year-old problem of pickup hum.
The system debuts as a standout feature of the Limited Edition American Professional Classic Stratocaster and Telecaster, bringing what Fender calls a game-changing answer to unwanted electrical hum, without requiring any compromise on tone, style, or choice of pickup.

Developed to support the needs of working musicians, the Fender Silent System isn’t simply another “noiseless” pickup design, but a passive, battery-free system built directly into the instrument itself. Designed to eliminate single-coil hum from almost any pickup installed, it’s intended to give players greater creative control and flexibility over their guitar, sound, and signal chain.
The American Professional Classic range has already built a reputation for blending vintage charm with the capabilities of a modern instrument, and Fender says this tech refresh is set to fundamentally change the playing experience for players who’ve long had to choose between authentic single-coil tone and hum-free performance.
The Limited Edition American Professional Classic Stratocaster featuring the Fender Silent System is built around vintage-inspired Coastline ’57 Stratocaster pickups, delivering depth, punch, and sparkle, paired with a sleek Modern “C” neck for comfort and playability. Fender staggered ClassicGear tuners round out the classic look while offering precise tuning stability. The Stratocaster is available in 3-Colour Sunburst and Daphne Blue with a rosewood fingerboard, or Olympic White and Candy Apple Red with a maple fingerboard.
The Limited Edition American Professional Classic Telecaster featuring the Fender Silent System takes the same approach, fitted with vintage-inspired Coastline ’63 Telecaster pickups and the same Modern “C” neck and ClassicGear tuners. The Telecaster is available in Candy Apple Red and Sonic Blue with a rosewood fingerboard, or Vintage Blonde and 3-Color Sunburst with a maple fingerboard.
Both models carry custom-faded vintage and signature Fender finishes, and mark the first appearance of the patent-pending Silent System in Fender’s lineup, described by the brand as eliminating single-coil hum without sacrificing any of the pure, authentic single-coil tone players expect.
