Words by Mixdown staff

The Arturia AudioFuse 16Rig can serve as both with 8 analogue outputs and 16 analogue inputs.

Audio interfaces and converters can be fickle. They’re often designed to either serve as the heart of your studio, or to expand an existing interface. The Arturia AudioFuse 16Rig, however, can serve as both with 8 analogue outputs and 16 analogue inputs. It can be connected via either USB-C or Firewire (1394) to serve as your studio’s heart, or four ADAT connectors (2-in, 2-out). This allows the Arturia AudioFuse 16Rig to expand an existing convertor with up to sixteen channels of ADAT at 48kHz.

This kind of expandability allows for full band recording, or for hybrid setups where all of your hardware is hardwired and ready to patch into digital recordings. Multiple outputs allow you to keep musicians happy with various headphones mixes. Additionally, you can also integrate a console or summing mixer into your workflow.
