The LA-2A is one of the more well-known compressors in the studio world, and while the price tag of a vintage one wouldn’t have you relegating it to too much live use, UAFX have today announced the LA-2A Studio Compressor pedal. It’s joined by the Brigade Chorus & Vibrato, honouring the famous Roland Ensemble, and the Flow Vintage Tremolo with three distinct modes.

The LA-2A is reasonably true to the original, having a Peak and Gain control, as well as a Limit/Compress switch, the pedal version modernised with a Mix knob to blend between compressed tone and dry signal.
The Brigade Chorus has three main controls: Rate, Depth and Level, the effect being switchable between Vibrato and Chorus. UAD’s Brigade Chorus plugin is a hugely successful offering, the Brigade Chorus pedal now offering that sound at your fingertips… well, toes.
Finally, the Flow Tremolo is simply laid out with Speed, Depth and Volume controls. There’s three switchable modes: Dharma – a harmonic tremolo, 65 – a round, sine wave and Square – a choppier, square wave.
