A festival-ready system
The package includes 96 JBL VTX A-Series line array speakers, spanning the A12, A8 and A6 models, alongside 50 B-Series 18-inch subs, all powered by Crown amplifiers. It’s a system that’s not just loud, but refined, engineered to handle everything from multi-stage festivals to high-profile concerts with detail and headroom to spare. Purchased through MadisonAV, JBL’s authorised distributor in Australia, the move represents one of the largest deployments of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region.
Why JBL VTX?
EET Managing Director Darren Russell says the decision was sealed after hearing the system in action at MadisonAV’s Sydney launch. “From the beginning of my career, I honed my skills mixing with JBL and Soundcraft gear – it was the standard,” Russell explains. “Today, we’re seeing JBL VTX appear more frequently on tech riders. This investment reflects our commitment to delivering exceptional audio experiences at Australia’s most iconic events.”
Raising the bar for Australian touring
For promoters and touring acts, this means world-class JBL rider compliance is now readily available on home soil. With international-standard gear now part of Elite’s arsenal, Australia’s touring landscape has taken a major step forward. As MadisonAV’s Ken Kyle puts it, “This brings Australia in line with global markets.”
For the live sound industry, it’s clear: JBL and Crown have just raised the stakes down under.
