Suicidal Tendencies debut, self-titled album was released in 1983, and 2023 sees forty years of this seminal band’s influence on thrash, metal, hardcore and punk.

To celebrate, the band will be hitting Australia in November for their ‘Still Cyco Punk After All These Years’ headline tour, paying homage to the influence and genre-defining work that is Suicidal Tendencies. Suicidal Tendencies are hugely influential sonically, as well as stylistically, their upturned hats, handrawn shirts and intense, crowd-involved live show shaping modern hardcore as know it.

Founding member Mike “Cyco Miko” Muir is joined by lead guitarist Dean Pleasants and recent members Ben Weinman (The Dillinger Escape Plan), Tye Trujillo (son of ex-Suicidal Tendencies bassist turned Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo) and drum prodigy Greyson Nekrutman. Truly a star-studded lineup, the ‘Still Cyco Punk After All These Years’ tour is a must-see for anyone reading this!

November sees the band here for four dates on Australia’s east coast, playing songs from their huge catalogue of now iconic hardcore and punk. Suicidal Tendencies bring their own brand of Venice, California skate-punk, the sound that has earned them multiple Gold records and Grammy nominations, as well as being a breeding ground for some influential musicians of today, including Thundercat, Josh Freese and Brooks Wackerman, as well as Robert Trujillo.

Suicidal Tendencies live is abrasive, intense and raw, a show not to be missed by any fan of the extreme side of music.
