Blind Guardian return to Australia!

Blind Guardian feature

Blind Guardian have influenced decades of metal since forming in Germany in 1984.

They were at the forefront of what we now call power metal and speed metal, having pioneered the genres, taking cues from the likes of Iron Maiden, Metallica and Judas Priest, but putting their own extreme stamp on the genre. There’s moments of Queen, blending high-flying multi-part vocal harmonies with Blind Guardian’s own brand of blistering drums and riffs.

February 2024 sees Blind Guardian returning to Australia on the back of their 12th album The God Machine, with four dates on Australia’s east coast, including their first appearances in Brisbane and Adelaide at the Princess Theatre and Lion Arts Factory respectively.

The God Machine was produced by famed German producer Charlie Bauerfeind, whose credits include other power metal juggernauts Helloween, Primal Fear, Rage, HammerFall and Saxon. The new album pushes the boundaries of the genre further, melding power metal, elements of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal with more modern death metal and operatic moments.

This is a tour not to be missed, Blind Guardian being a well-oiled war machine after decades of touring, the soaring vocals of frontman Hansi Kürsch being supported by wailing guitars from André Olbrich.
