With supports from Genesis Owusu, Kaiit, Mwanje and more.
One of the brightest stars in hip-hop today, Sampa The Great has announced as string of massive outdoor shows around Australia in February and March 2021.
Dubbed An Afro Future, the tour will see Sampa The Great linking up with a who’s who in Australian rap and RnB at The Domain in Sydney in February and Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl in March , with both shows coinciding with her appearance at WOMADelaide’s 2021 twilight concert series.
The Zambian-born artist will be joined by a stacked list of supports at each show, including Sydney trailblazer Genesis Owusu, Kaiit, Barkaa and Sampa’s sister Mwanjé, with C.Firm and Ebony Bodau announced to DJ at the Melbourne and Sydney shows respectively.
News of the An Afro Future tour comes off the back of Sampa The Great’s massive wins during Australia’s award season, with the Melbourne-based rapper netting three ARIAs and four Music Victoria Awards for her sensational full-length debut The Return.
