The SPD-SX Pro takes everything Roland learned from the SPD-S and SPD-SX models and builds on it, with years of road testing and user-requested enhancements.
With Roland’s advanced sampling technology at its core, the SPD-SX Pro boasts an array of professional features, such as an increased 32GB of sample memory, a 16-step sequencer, customisable pad-dividing LED and trigger lights, as well as a 4.3-inch colour screen.
The SPD-SX Pro has nine super durable pads, with the top three including a revised sensor structure, for increased sensitivity and even sounding hits when the pad is played, regardless of the mounting angle.
There’s also increased crosstalk connection, to prevent the accidental triggering of other pads, and if you already own an SPD-SX, you can use your existing carry case and accessories, as the SPD-SX Pro is so close in size.
On the back, the connectivity has taken a step up, allowing you to add up to eight individual triggers or additional pads.
It features balanced stereo master outputs, as well as four fully assignable mono outputs, which are also balanced.
Resolution has been increased to 48kHz, and it comes loaded with 1,550 high quality sounds that can be played off 200 kits, and the SPD-SX Pro’s processing power makes switching between these a breeze.
The Roland SPD-SX Pro will be available in mid October for $2,099.
