MODAL ELECTRONICS REVEAL DO-IT-YOURSELF SYNTH KIT

Modal Electronics Main.jpg

The synth is touted as the world’s first such kit that can be assembled in under 10 minutes without the need for soldering, tools or specialist knowledge. It is a monophonic, eight-knob synth with two oscillators per voice, 16 patch storage locations, 16 recallable presets, with full MIDI support and can be powered by either USB or batteries.

While their other instruments generally retail at much higher price points, such as the 008 analogue polysynth, which can be purchased for $8,799.00, the CRAFTsynth is comparably very affordable. While not yet listed by their Australian distributors, the British retailers are advertising the synth kit at £79, which is only $150.

With still time to get orders in before the gift giving holiday, you can listen to this demo of the CRAFTsynth by UK television composer Ty Unwin below.

Modal Electronics are distributed in Australia by Melbourne’s Audio Chocolate and Sydney’s Soundseasy.
