Finally, there’s a reason to use it. Bing offers a guitar tuning feature when you type in ‘guitar tuner’, with a range of different tunings available. It doesn’t work like a tuner pedal might, detecting how out of tune your notes are, but rather like tuning your guitar from a piano.
Another cool feature from Bing is it gives you a working metronome when you search for ‘metronome’, super handy if you are in between a rock and a hard place and really need to keep time. Whilst I perhaps wouldn’t use it to keep time in a studio recording, it’s probably accurate enough for other uses. These two tools were written by summer interns at Microsoft, and might finally direct some traffic to Bing.
