The all-mahogany 0-17 and the spruce-and-rosewood M-28 rejoin Martin's refreshed line-up, covering opposite ends of the size range.
Two long-requested shapes are back in Martin’s Standard Series. The refreshed line-up gains the all-mahogany 0-17, Martin’s smallest full-size guitar, and the M-28, a Grand Auditorium that brings the classic spruce-and-rosewood recipe back to the range – both arriving with the Golden Era-inspired scalloped bracing carried over from the Modern Deluxe Series.

Small in stature but not in character, the 0-17 answers a standing request for an all-mahogany Concert in the Standard range. The 0 body gives an intimate feel with clear trebles and punchy mids, and the warm, woody voice suits fingerstyle, songwriting and recording. The short scale and low-oval neck keep the feel relaxed and vintage-leaning, while the scalloped spruce bracing adds a responsiveness and projection you don’t always get from a guitar this size.

The M-28 brings the Grand Auditorium shape back to the Standard Series, pairing a wide lower bout for projection with a shallower 000 depth that keeps it comfortable against the body. Its solid spruce top and East Indian rosewood back and sides give crisp articulation, deep bass and plenty of overtone, and the long scale lends string tension and clarity across all six. Herringbone, antique white binding and abalone inlays give it the look of a Style 28 Martin, so it reads the part as much as it plays it.
