Fender launch the wild Parallel Universe Maverick Dorado

Based on the long-lost Custom Maverick produced between 1969 and 1972, the Maverick Dorado features an alder body with a nitrocellulose finish for a classic Fender look, as well as a 12-string style maple neck with an ebony fretboard and a ludicrously big headstock.

The guitar boasts a thick ’60s C-shaped profile and 22 medium jumbo frets, as well as a 24.75″ scale, giving it a similar feel to a Gibson-style guitar. A Bigbsy tremolo is also included with these new models, while a Fender Adjusto-Matic bridge helps provide further tuning stability.

Elsewhere, the Maverick Dorado is loaded with a set of Tim Shaw-designed Filter’Tron humbuckers, which are controlled by a master volume and tone control with a three way toggle switch. It’s also available in three sweet finishes: Three-Colour Sunburst, Firemist Gold and the awesome Mystic Pine Green.
