What if there was an instrument that helped you rethink your approach to making music, packed to the brim with professional sounds? That was portable enough to be taken anywhere, with no compromise in sound quality?
The Chorda from Artiphon is just that. For lack of a better word, the Chorda is a little bar, complete with inbuilt speaker, that can be strummed, played, tapped and brushed to make sound. Comprised of 12 pads, the Chorda has an added bridge to add a ‘Strum’ functionality, building on where the Orba 2 from Artiphon left off. The Chorda also has MIDI functionality, and the headphone output functions as a way to record the audio. Mike Butera, Artiphon Founder and CEO says:
“We believe musical instruments should adapt to the way you play, to invite creativity every day. We’ve dreamed of allowing anyone to play any sound they can imagine, anywhere they go, without worrying about historical instrument skills or abstract music theory.”
The Chorda brings Radiate, Tilt and Vibrato to help you express yourself in addition to the right notes, beats and sounds.
