Gibson Custom unveils huge 2026 Limited Edition Collection

Words by Mixdown

Sparkle-top Les Paul Deluxes, a TV Jones-loaded ‘57 and Korina SGs headline a run capped at 100 of each model.

Gibson’s Nashville Custom Shop has revealed its 2026 Limited Edition Collection, 25 models with finishes and spec combinations outside the regular Custom range, each limited to 100 units.

Many of the guitars started life as Made to Measure orders, the Custom Shop’s bespoke build program, so the list reads like a collection of very specific player requests. A lot of the aging comes from the Murphy Lab, with finishes running from VOS and Light Aged right through to Ultra Heavy Aged.

Catch up on all the latest news here.

The ’70s are well represented by a pair of 1976 Les Paul Deluxe Reissues with VOS finishes, one with a Red Sparkle top and the other in Blue Sparkle. Flying V fans get a 1969 Reissue in gloss Aqua Mist and a Flying V Custom in Heavy Aged Teal Sparkle, while the 1963 Firebird VII Reissue goes all in with a gloss Double Gold finish.

Korina turns up twice, on a 1964 SG Standard Reissue in Antique Natural and a 1957 Les Paul Custom Reissue. The most unexpected build is a 1957 Les Paul Reissue fitted with TV Jones Power’Tron pickups in place of humbuckers, which gives it a Filter’Tron-style voice under a Gold Sparkle top.

On the semi-hollow and hollowbody side, the 1959 ES-330 Reissue pairs a Bigsby with an Antique White VOS finish. It’s joined by a Heavy Aged 1958 ES-335 in Watermelon, a Bigsby-equipped 1959 ES-345 in Ebony and two Light Aged 1960 ES-355s, in Sixties Cherry and Antique Blonde.

Les Paul purists still have plenty to choose from:

  • a 1956 reissue in All Double Gold with gold hardware
  • Ultra Heavy Aged 1957s in Mustard Gold and Refin Burst
  • 1959 Standards in Molten Amber Burst, Faded Peach Burst and a Birdseye maple Peach Tea Burst
  • a 1954 Les Paul Custom Reissue with a humbucker in the neck position

An SG Custom with a koa top rounds out the run.

Every guitar comes with a certificate of authenticity. Most ship in a Lifton reissue hardshell case, while the Flying V Custom and SG Custom come in Gibson’s modern hardshell.

Available in Australia through Australis Music Group.
