Any style of music will benefit from the CE.BASS – preserving your attacks and sustains while smoothening the level across the strings.
The CE.BASS’ internal switches allow you to change the compression ratio as you please, and this setting affects the compressor ratio alone, meaning you still get that punchy attack and natural sustain from your bass guitar.
The treble controls provide more boost than cut, which results in a clean and crispy high-end advancement, and rolling the control all the way down works as a high frequency cut too.
When wound up, the bass boost curve continues to rise towards the lower frequency of 40Hz, without flattening out at any frequency within the normal bass guitar range, while winding down all the way works like a shelving curve.
This results in a typical flat response from 40Hz-100Hz when the control is fully cut.
The level control sets the level of the output buffer stage, and feeds the output jack directly, allowing for adjustment of the unity gain between the EQ and the true bypass switch.
The CE.BASS has been built with quality components, designed and hand-wired in Melbourne, and is available now, retailing for $368.
