Fender jump aboard the P90 train with the new Noventa range

Hurtling in 2021 in fine fashion, Fender have revealed a brand new range of Noventa guitars, decking out three of their most popular solid body models with P90 pickups and eye-catching finishes.

The Noventa Series is a Made in Mexico line that sees Fender revise the Telecaster, Stratocaster and Jazzmaster to unlock a wholly different range of tones. All three guitars share similar specs, including 9.5″ radius fretboards with 21 medium jumbo frets and maple necks, and feature simplified appointments to offer something totally unique to the modern player.

Available in Fiesta Red, Two-Tone Sunburst and Vintage Blonde, the Noventa Telecaster seemingly takes cues from the popular Cabronita model, offering a single MP-90 pickup in the bridge position and two controls for volume and tone. Other unique features include a simplified bridge and cut-down pickguard, resulting in a rough-and-ready workhorse that looks perfect for raucous punk and rhythm playing.

With a hardtail bridge and two MP-90s in the neck and bridge position, the Noventa Stratocaster puts a distinctive spin on the classic Fender model to appeal to a different, far-less-bluesy crowd. This one can be picked up in Surf Green, Daphne Blue and Crimson Red Transparent finishes.

Now, onto the Noventa Jazzmaster, which features three MP-90 pickups to give it a striking aesthetic that’d be surely matched by its tonal versatility. While Fender have done away with the usual Jazzmaster roller controls in favour of a three-way pickup selector switch and tone and volume knobs, the Noventa Jazzmaster still retains the standard Jazzmaster tremolo, albeit with an adjust-o-matic bridge for superior tuning stability. It’s available in Surf Green, Fiesta Red and the cool vintage Walnut finish.
