SoundGhost has released Orbit, a plug-in that takes a fresh approach to auto-panning by splitting incoming signals into three separate frequency bands, each with its own dedicated set of modulation tools.
Using a pair of adjustable crossover points, Orbit divides a signal into low, mid, and high bands, with each band carrying independent controls for position, width, and volume. Every band also comes equipped with its own modulator, allowing those parameters to be animated over time rather than left static.

Modulation depth can be dialled in on a per-parameter basis, and users can push the Amount control into extreme territory to “overdrive” the modulation shapes for more aggressive movement. To help keep tracks translating well across playback systems, Orbit also includes a built-in correlation meter, letting users monitor mono compatibility as they shape a mix.
