The challenge takes place at The Underline, Miami’s 10-mile linear park beneath the Metrorail, stretching from Brickell to Dadeland. To make it work, Eddy will perform from a custom-built DJ rig on wheels that he’ll push himself for the whole estimated seven hours.
“BPMATHON is the fusion of endurance running with the magic of music,” Eddy says. “The idea came about when I saw videos online of people running 5Ks while DJing, and I said to myself, ‘why not run 50K?’ This is a real challenge for me because just running 50K without DJing is difficult, and just DJing for seven hours without running is difficult. Doing both at the same time will definitely push me to a new limit.”
Eddy isn’t starting from scratch on either front, having completed 14 endurance races between 2020 and 2025, including seven Ironman competitions and seven marathons. All the while, he was building his career in electronic music and events. The event will raise funds for Friends of The Underline, a Miami nonprofit dedicated to transforming public space into active community environments. Along the course, his event brand ZENSKI, known for immersive experiences and female-forward electronic music lineups, will stage a live pop-up party at points along the route.
Partners include AlphaTheta, MIAFMTV, Orbit Baby, StrollRunner and Buzz Bomb, with more to be announced. Eddy has also flagged plans to take BPMATHON to other cities globally.
“If this inspires even just one person to get out there and pursue their passions, or start running, this is a huge success,” he says.
BPMATHON takes place at The Underline Inter Stage, 805 SW 1st Ave, Miami, on Saturday 8 August 2026 from 6:30pm. Read more here.
