The festival, which is held over New Year’s Eve concurrently in Tasmania, Byron Bay and on Victoria’s Surf Coast, will play host to an eclectic mix of local and international talent, likely to encourage festival-goers to make this another sell out event.
The first line-up is spearheaded by the likes of Mac Demarco, Foals, Kurt Vile and the Violators, Courtney Barnett, Bloc Party, Disclosure, Hilltop Hoods and Django Django with rock and roll royalty Fleetwood Mac headlining festival opening night ‘Boogie Nights’ alongside Weird Al Yankovic.
Falls Festival was establish in 1993 in Lorne on Victoria’s surf coast. Since then it’s spread to Marion Bay in Tasmania and more recently to Byron Bay in northern New South Wales, making it one of Australia’s biggest and most popular music festivals.

The majority of the tickets are allocated and sold though the ticket ballot, which is now open at the Falls Festival website, and will remain open until August 14. General Sales for those who missed out will start on Wednesday August 26.
