Studio Technologies has debuted the StudioComm Model 794 Central Controller and Model 795 Control Console, a new integrated monitoring system designed for Dante-based 5.1 and stereo monitoring in post-production, ingest and on-air broadcast facilities.
Professional monitoring environments demand flexibility, reliability and clean signal management across multiple audio formats. Studio Technologies’ new StudioComm system is built to deliver exactly that, making its first public appearance at NAB 2026 in Las Vegas.
“The StudioComm system, built around the Model 794 and companion control consoles, delivers a fully integrated 5.1 and stereo monitoring platform that unifies Dante, analog, and AES3 audio sources for professional broadcast, production, and post-production environments,” said Gordon Kapes, President of Studio Technologies.

Model 794 Central Controller
The Model 794 is a 1U rack-mounted unit available in four versions, each sharing the same core feature set but differing in input resources:
- 794-01 – Dante audio-over-Ethernet with analog inputs and outputs
- 794-02 – Adds balanced AES3 digital audio inputs
- 794-03 – Adds unbalanced AES3 digital audio inputs
- 794-04 – Adds two additional analog inputs
All four versions share the following I/O:
- Two 5.1 (6-channel) and two stereo Dante digital audio inputs
- One 5.1 analog audio input and two stereo analog line inputs
- Two 5.1 and two stereo Dante digital audio outputs
- One 5.1 and one stereo analog audio output
- Three configurable Gigabit Ethernet interfaces – two for redundant Dante transport, one for system management
- Configurable bass management, downmix and cue mix capability
- All processing in the digital domain via 32-bit programmable logic
- Redundant powering via 100-240V, 50/60Hz or external 12Vdc
Model 795 Control Console
The Model 795 is a desktop control surface designed to pair with the Model 794, connected via a shielded multi-conductor cable with 9-pin D-sub connectors. It features:
- Multiple pushbutton switches and a rotary encoder
- LED indicators and a digital display
- Web-based menu system for system configuration
The more streamlined Model 791 Control Console is also compatible for locations where monitoring level control is the primary focus.
