EPROM's 60-preset expansion is available as a standalone instrument or for Current owners, introducing a new plugin format that works without the full synth.

Minimal Audio has launched Memory Rites, a 60-preset collection made with producer EPROM, available as a standalone plugin or preset pack for their flagship synthesizer, Current.

EPROM operates at the forefront of experimental electronic music, treating sound as a system for exploration. His approach blends technology, imagination and unconventional process, which comes through across Memory Rites’ 60 presets. The collection spans distorted basses, complex rhythms and machine-born textures across 25 basses, 14 leads, 9 pads, 6 keys and 6 SFX. Preset names like Bass Slingshot, Devil Donk, Photovoric Inchworms and Destroyer give a clue of what to expect.

Every preset is hand-designed and ready to play from the first note. EPROM mapped custom macros onto each one with single-knob moves that reshape and perform the sounds. Mod wheel and pitch-bend controls are baked in, so textures can shift and evolve as you play.

Memory Rites works as a complete standalone instrument, available as VST, VST3, AU or AAX on macOS 10.11 or later (including native Apple silicon) and Windows 10 or later.

For producers without Current, the Current Expansion Player plugin costs $29 USD (approximately $43.50 AUD). Every purchase includes the full preset pack – the same 60 presets ready to load inside Current if you upgrade later. Current owners can buy just the expansion pack for $19 USD (approximately $28.50 AUD) and open the presets with full synthesis control for deeper editing.
