From his early days with Curved Air to founding The Police with Sting and Andy Summers, Copeland’s rhythmic drive shaped some of the most iconic tracks of the late ’70s and ’80s.
The band’s meteoric rise cemented him as one of the greatest drummers of all time, with a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction and seven Grammys to his name. The Police reunion tour of 2007–2008 only further proved his enduring legacy.
Copeland didn’t stop at rock superstardom. His second act saw him composing for Francis Ford Coppola’s Rumblefish, Oliver Stone’s Wall Street, and even the cult video game Spyro the Dragon.
Add to that operas, ballets, classical works, and supergroup projects, and you’ve got one of the most versatile creative forces of the last half-century. His spoken word tour offers fans an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at these extraordinary chapters.
“Demand for this intimate new show has surpassed my expectations, and I can’t wait to return to Australia & New Zealand next year and share the stories of my life with even more fans,” he says.
