Oslo-based Klvr has officially launched in the United States, bringing its professional rechargeable battery solution to music venues, houses of worship, broadcast studios and AV teams looking to cut costs and ditch disposable batteries for good.
If you’ve ever seen a stage manager frantically swapping AA batteries before a show, you already know the problem Klvr is trying to solve. The Norwegian battery technology company has officially launched in the US market, with Klvr Charger Pro now available through pro audio rental and AV integration partners including MBH Solutions, The Penn Group and YAP Technologies.

Klvr Charger Pro is a 19″ rack-mounted charger with capacity for 48 AA and AAA batteries. The batteries themselves are custom 1.5V Li-Ion cells, each rated for 1,200 charging cycles and offering 30% more runtime than standard consumer rechargeables. Run one pack of 48 to full lifetime capacity, and you can eliminate the need for up to 57,600 single-use batteries over more than three years of daily use. For a touring production, a house of worship or a conference venue burning through alkaline batteries every week, the maths adds up quickly.
The gap Klvr is filling is a real one. Proprietary rechargeable systems from major audio manufacturers tend to lock users into a single brand, and consumer-grade rechargeables don’t deliver the voltage consistency or reliability that professional environments demand. Klvr’s batteries use a linear discharge curve, which removes the guesswork around remaining runtime – a hugely important factor to consider when you’re mid-show. The Klvr Control software gives AV teams visibility into battery levels and recharge times from a connected laptop.
Stian Sagholen, CEO and Founder of Klvr, said: “AV teams need pro-grade batteries they can trust in critical live environments – and that work across different devices from their favourite audio brands. Our customers in the US and globally are cutting costs, lowering their environmental footprint, and delivering flawless shows with Klvr rechargeables.”
The system has already been deployed by Norwegian state broadcaster NRK, Greek broadcaster Alpha TV, UK rental specialist Handheld Audio and production teams working with artists including Per Gessle and Roxette. For touring and venue applications, the kit also includes the Klvr Pouch, a lightweight 48-battery carry case designed for travel and remote production.
Klvr will be exhibiting at InfoComm 2026 at booth N6311. Learn more here.
