The guitar is built on the J-200 Studio EC Super Jumbo cutaway platform – a body shape known for big, room-filling acoustic tone – with a solid spruce top, layered maple back and sides, and an Antique Natural gloss finish. The mahogany neck is carved to Epiphone’s 1960s SlimTaper D profile, which keeps things comfortable across long sets, and the rosewood fingerboard carries J-200 pearloid crown inlays that nod to the model’s lineage.

The signature touches are considered rather than showy. A custom artist-designed pickguard with gold artwork gives it a distinct visual identity, while a silk-screened Lee Seung Yoon signature graphic on the rear headstock keeps things subtle. Gold Grover Rotomatic tuners and gold hardware throughout reinforce the elevated look without overdoing it. For live performance, Fishman S-Core pickup and Presys II electronics handle amplified duties reliably, and the guitar ships with a premium gig bag.
Aljon Go, Product Manager at Epiphone, described it as “a modern signature guitar built to honour heritage while speaking to today’s players,” positioning it as an approachable entry into the Inspired by Gibson acoustic world.
Lee Seung Yoon rose to mainstream prominence after winning JTBC’s Sing Again in 2021, built a reputation for powerful band-driven live performances, and released his full-length album YEOK SEONG in October 2024. His 2025 digital single PunKanon – a punk-styled reimagining of his recent album era – shows an artist who isn’t standing still. He’s currently on an active touring schedule, with upcoming dates in Goyang, Sejong and Jakarta through August 2026.
For players outside Asia, availability hasn’t been confirmed beyond the initial regional launch. Head to Epiphone for more details.
