Martin launch five new acoustic guitars

The new line sees Martin updating their affordable X Series, as well as the additions of two Koa models in their Road Series and the incredible new D-45 Woodstock 50th Anniversary Model.

Featuring East Indian rosewood back and sides and the deluxe addition of abalone inlays, the D-45 Woodstock model is certainly quite a wonder to bestow. There’s also an ornate Woodstock Dove inlay at the top end of the headstock, with ‘1969-2019’ spread across the fretboard and a peace sign on the heelcap. The inside label is signed by C.F Martin IV and two of Woodstock’s original founders, Joel Rosenman and Michael Lang, with the model being limited to 50 guitars worldwide.

The new additions into Martin’s Road Series include D-12E Koa and 000-12E Koa models, featuring an African mahogany core combined with Koa veneer back and sides. Both models feature MOP rosettes and fretboard inlays, as well as Fishman MX-T electronics and a gig bag.

Finally, Martin’s new launch sees the additions of the D-X1E and D-X2E into the affordable X Series. Both guitars boast Koa patterned , high pressure laminate tops, as well as backs and sides from Martin’s crop of Hawaiin Koa. They’re also fitted with Fishman MX electronics, and the D-X2E features a MOP rosette and fretboard inlays with a Royal Mexican Ebony fretboard.
