The guitar was designed in collaboration with Cash’s own son John Carter Cash, and features a standard D-35 dreadnaught shape with a high-pressure laminate top, back and sides. Of course, the entire instrument is fully blacked-out, just like Cash’s own famous model from the ’70s, making for one very cool acoustic.
The Martin Johnny Cash DX also features a custom fretboard with star inlays and a CASH logo stamped into the 18th fret, as well as being adorned by Cash’s signature on the rosette and label. The guitar also includes a Fishman MX preamp and a CASH embroided gigbag to keep things safe, and is strung with Martin’s Authentic Acoustic Lifespan 2.0 strings.
