Designed primarily to supplement the company’s previously released studio monitors, the WS-12 is powered by a whopping 1000 W Class-D amplifier, and utilises a 12 inch driver to pound out a frequency response of 30 Hz – 160Hz. It’s housed in an 18mm thick, 29 kilogram plywood cabinet, and features a maxmium SPL of 123 dB, offering stereo XLR, TRS and RCA connectors on the back of the unit to plug in audio from a range of sources.
There’s also a smattering of dip switches and knobs to tweak crossover frequency, gain, and polarity, which should allow you to flex the parameters of your WS-12 to make it suitable for use in the studio or with a small PA. We’ve only ever heard good things from Kali Audio, and the specs of this thing look pretty impressive, so we’re interested to see how it goes in use.
