The Classic Vibe range is Fender’s styled remarket of their budget Squier line, bearing aesthetic and electrical references to the brand’s ’50s, ’60s & ’70s-era guitars. The range refresh announced at the NAMM 2019 conference contains 13 new models, with decade specific specs for the ’60s and ’70s. New Fender designed pickups for each model, period-inspired headstock designs and slim C-neck profiles are standard across the new range. The 9.5″ radius fretboard remains standard across the board.
Both guitars and basses feature in the announcement, with the Classic Vibe ’70s Bass and Classic Vibe ‘60s Jazzmaster available in special left-handed editions. The full range of guitars announced includes a ’70s Stratocaster and ’70s Stratocaster HSS, a ’70s Telecaster Thinline, ’70s Telecaster Deluxe, ’70s Telecaster Custom, a ’70s Jaguar, a ’60s Jazzmaster, and a ’60s Mustang. Bassists will score ’60s and ’70s Precision Basses, ’60s and ’70s Jazz basses, a Classic Vibe Bass VI, and a ’70s-style Jaguar bass.
