Electro-Harmonix stun the game with the R&B wireless earbuds

The New York based guitar effects dons’ latest offering seemingly follows the trail blazed by fellow manufacturers Marshall and Orange, branching the brand further into the music lifestyle sector to net the interests of the average consumer.

Boasting a five hour play time with 15 hours of stores power in the charging case, the R&B earbuds promise “superior EHX sound quality” with a wider broadcast range of ten metres. They’re also lightweight and sweatproof, feature voice-assistant compatibility and include three sizes of ear cushions to squeeze into your ear holes.

While launching the R&B earbuds, Electro-Harmonix CEO Mike Matthews took a swipe at Apple, the obvious lead contender in the earbuds race, saying that  “Apple purchased Beats, makers of the popular Beats headphones for $3 billion in 2014. From our viewpoint, you are paying for that purchase, whereas Electro-Harmonix is synonymous with great tone and low prices.”

Interesting. We’re definitely keen to hear how they sound now!
