Packing 25 ultra-responsive keys into a tiny rubber-coated controller, the Microlab kind of resembles a Minilab minus any knobs or control pads, while the touch strips and control buttons have been pushed into the left hand corner of the unit. It’s available in three colours, and features both a recessed USB port and roll-around USB cable for easy storage. It’s definitely a controller for producers stuck on a plane, bus or train looking to tap out a beat before the magic escapes their brain – you can ever power the Microlab via your IOS or Android device.
Arturia have also included a super useful software bundle with the Microlab to let you get stuck right into the nitty-gritty. Analog Lab Lite packs a whopping 600 presets from some of the brand’s best software synths into your DAW, while a UVI Grand Piano Model D also lets you twinke out pretty piano leads on the fly. There’s also a copy of Bitwig Studio 8-track included, which acts as the perfect package for those looking their toes into the production pool for the first time.
Arturia products are distributed in the national market by CMI Music and Audio.
