The D’Angelico Deluxe Bob Weir Bedford, which is the brand’s first ever solid body signature model, fuses a basswood body with a premium maple/walnut/maple neck and pau ferro fretboard for a striking, dominant tonal response. The guitar also features an extremely unique electronics setup, squeezing a Lollar Blonde singlecoil pickup in between two Seymour-Duncan D-90 STK P-90 voiced singlecoils, offering a distinctive departure from the Bedford’s usual HS pickup configuration.
Elsewhere, the Deluxe Bob Weir Bedford features a blend pot to mix in pickups which would usually be excluded in each position for a super-bright tone. There’s also a six-point Wilkinson tremolo, a five-way toggle switch, locking Grover tuners and all-gold hardware for a striking aesthetic. Hear how it sounds in action below.
The D’Angelico Deluxe Bob Weir Bedford signature model is available in a Matte Stone finish, and comes with an official hard shell case – you can check out all the specs here.
