The iconic body shape and V-neck profile carry over, but the HSS pickup configuration and five-way switching open up a wider tonal range.
Sterling by Music Man has shipped the Luke LK100 HSS, a new take on the Steve Lukather signature that trades the standard humbucker layout for an HSS pickup configuration with five-way switching.

The Luke has been a recognisable design in modern guitar history since Lukather helped develop it with Music Man, and the LK100 HSS keeps the core of that intact. The iconic asymmetrical body shape and V-neck profile carry over from previous iterations, joined by a roasted maple neck and locking tuners. A vintage tremolo handles pitch modulation, and a 12dB push-pull boost on the volume knob gives players a quick output jump without reaching for a separate pedal.
Two flamed maple veneer finishes are available: Yucatan Blue and Heritage Cherry Burst.
