Renowned for their comfortable neck profile and responsive mid-range tone perfect for fingerpicking styles, the parlour guitar was one of the earliest mass produced steel-stringed guitars, with the model experiencing peak popularity with folk and blues guitarists between 1890 and 1950.
For the Parlor series, Collings have re-imagined the smaller 24 716” scale for the modern guitarist, with the Parlor 1 T, 2H T and the 1 Mh T taking inspiration from early 20th century parlour guitar from Martin and Washburn.
The 1 T and 2H T both feature a solid Sitka Spruce top for a flat responsive tone, while the 1 Mh T boasts a beautiful Mahogany top to enhance the resonance and warmth of the guitar. Both the 1 T and 1 Mh T are crafted with Honduran Mahogany back and sides, with the upmarket 2H T featuring a revered build of East Indian Rosewood to compliment the brightness of the Spruce top.
