BOSS has refreshed its guitar gig bag range, and in a nice touch from the company that made its name on stompboxes, the redesigned pockets are now big enough to hold one of their own compact pedals. The update covers electric and acoustic models and adds a first for BOSS – a deluxe bag built for electric bass.

The shared upgrades include thicker padding, lower-bout support has been improved to protect the body where it sits heaviest and reworked pockets hold more. Every bag keeps the soft internal padding, neck rests, sturdy main handle and the over-the-shoulder and backpack straps.
At the top of the range is the CB-EG25, which brings impact panels into the front and back for a semi-rigid shell, along with extra side padding, a rugged 1680D polyester exterior and wide rubber feet so it can stand on its end without taking a knock. Two adjustable neck rests with securing straps and a cushioned, adjustable end guard let it hold a range of instrument shapes.
The CB-EG15 pairs a 600D polyester shell with deep padding that doesn’t turn the bag bulky, again with two neck rests and an adjustable end guard. The same deluxe design is on the CB-EB15, BOSS’s first electric bass gig bag, scaled up to fit most popular basses.
Acoustic players get the CB-AG15, with more internal padding throughout, a cushioned guard for the end-pin area and an adjustable neck rest. For anyone travelling light, the slimline CB-EG05 returns with more padding on the sides and back and a comfier handle borrowed from the pricier models.
