With a road worn finish reminiscent of vintage Stratocaster’s favoured by players such as John Frusciante and Mike McCready, the Charvel Super Stock SC1 slaps a reliced paint job atop of an alder body to offer a classic aesthetic with a modern hot-rodded twist. The unit boasts a roaring EVH Wolfgang pickup in the bridge position and a Seymour Duncan Lil’ Screamin’ Demon in the neck for a tone that’s bound to please the shredders.
There’s also a slick maple neck with a compound radius Pau Ferro fretboard, with 22 jumbo frets to race across the neck with. There’s even a Floyd Rose 1000 double locking tremolo system and nut to keep everything sharp – or not so sharp – when you’re performing all those flashy whammy bar tricks. This looks like it’d be a bag of fun, and although they’re part of a limited run, we’d love to get our hands on one!
