Taking cues from previous models from the likes of Line 6 and Vox, the Silverline series features a total of five amplifiers, with the four combos and one head/cab combination all loaded with Celestion V-Type speakers. The 1×10 20W Silverline Standard and 1×12 50W Silverline Special should satisfy most punters looking for a bedroom or small venue rig, while the 1×12 100W Silverline Deluxe and the 2×12 100W Silverline Deluxe Stereo look to appeal to those playing on larger stages. There’s also a 100W Silverline Deluxe Head and matching 2×12 Silverline Cab if you’re all about the excesses in life.
Each model features six distinctive preamp voices, including Clean Warm, Clean Bright, Crunch, Super Crunch, OD 1 and OD 2, with six tube emulations (EL84, 6L6, 6V6, EL34, KT88 and KT66) letting you zone in further on the tone you’re chasing. There’s also 12 programmable presets available on all amps, which can be expanded to 128 when using the external footswitch.
Elsewhere, the Silverline series features Blackstar’s coveted ISF control to blend between US and UK inspired tones, as well as a handful of studio grade Reverb, Delay and Modulation effects which operate in a similar manner to the Roland Cube. There’s also a virtual INSIDER editing software to save, tweak and load presets via USB, making Blackstar’s Silverline series quite a formidable adversary indeed.
