Post Producer (Audio) – Rumble Studios (Sydney)

Rumble Studios is on the hunt for a Mid/Senior level Audio Post Producer to join its production team at their Sydney studio.

They are an award winning boutique Sound Design & Music post-production company based in Chippendale and pride themselves on their creativity in all things audio. They focus on creating work for the advertising industry with TVCs, online content & radio, along with TV, short films, animation and much more.

Skills / Experience Required:

  • Have a minimum 3 years experience in the industry
  • Have experience supervising post production on commercials, short films or features
  • Have a strong sense of client services
  • Have project management skills
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be highly energetic and people oriented
  • Be experienced in managing budgets and schedules

Tasks / Responsibilities Include:

  • Liaising with advertising agencies, production companies & voice agents to quote & schedule projects.
  • Briefing sound engineers on projects & managing their schedules & deliveries.
  • Managing projects throughout the post-production process; including sound sessions, casting, file management, feedback and deadlines, with local and international clients & suppliers.
  • Financial management of jobs (including quoting, tracking & invoicing).
  • Networking, building & maintaining collaborative relationships with our clients & team members.
  • Reporting directly to Rumble’s EP & CD.
  • Working closely with Rumble’s EP & CD on development & industry involvement.

Faculty Librarian (Fine Arts and Music) – University of Melbourne

University of Melbourne is one of the most prestigious universities in Australia. Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation.  This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.

As Faculty Librarian, you will lead engagement with Faculties and Schools in regard to Library services, collections and resources that support research and learning and teaching. You will lead a team of liaison and liaison support librarians to deliver high quality, impactful, scalable and sustainable programs, and work collaboratively with a range of colleagues including those in the Research & Collections and Scholarly Development programs.

Skills / Experience Required:

  • Post graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and significant relevant management experience and/or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience. Must be eligible for associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
  • Qualifications or experience relevant to the music discipline in a research-intensive university.
  • Significant experience in effective management of library services in a complex and dynamic higher education environment, including development of library collections and development of information research skills in a variety of audiences in the University.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and develop collaborative work teams and implement change in the workplace.

Commercial Music Licensing Manager – ByteDance (Sydney)

The Commercial Music & Creative Licensing (CMCL) team serves as the hub for all branded uses of music on the platform and by the platform. Working with teams across the organization, CMCL enables brands, institutions, and content publishers to engage with music in meaningful ways within the ByteDance ecosystem of apps. As the Commercial Music and Creative Licensing team continues to scale globally to support these brand initiatives, we are seeking a Licensing Manager to oversee the processes and procedures for advertising clients throughout Australia & New Zealand.

Understanding opportunities for creative partnerships and licensing around music are a critical means by which we drive user engagement with ByteDance brands and our clients. They are looking for an experienced creative licensing and partnerships professional with existing high level relationships with labels, publishers, and artists to better leverage music and drive successful campaigns. The ideal candidate will have deep contacts throughout the music industry and ample experience in executing clearances and partnerships across multiple types of advertising and content productions.

Skills / Experience Required:

  • 5+ years experience – should include clearing music for advertising, short form, and live programming, reviewing and redlining agreements, and tracking finances.
  • Excellent communicator with a keen understanding of the role that accurate messaging plays in a start up environment, able to lead meetings, create presentations, and articulate needs to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data to understand trends and benchmark success.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, process master, capable of concepting, implementing, and maintaining large scale processes with cross-functional input.
  • Excellent communicator with strong documentation and presentation skills, particularly implemented in a cross-functional and global role.
  • Strong sense of accountability and follow-through, with the ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance.
  • Solid contacts in the music industry, with major and independent record labels, publishers, and artist management.

Tasks / Responsibilities Include:

  • Work cross functionally with Global Business Solutions, TikTok Music, and Creative Lab to support the licensing strategy of campaigns for various clients, including ByteDance brands, understanding where and how to leverage our capabilities in licensing, production, and technology to drive success.
  • Lead music clearance process for internal and external partners, determine necessary terms for campaigns, research publishing and master ownership, and negotiate fees and terms with all third party rights holders.
  • Present policy, strategy, and evolving offerings to colleagues and clients, clearly articulating our role in the broader creative/entertainment community.
  • Oversee partner development in the licensing space for third party advertising clients, bringing in local vendors to support our ecosystem partnership efforts and finding local libraries to participate in the CML.
  • Analyze data around campaign success and music trends on the platform to create insights around best practices for brands and define benchmarks by which to measure it.
  • Manage all reporting for sync licensing across the region.

Music Programmer – Cognizant (ACT)

Cognizant is one of the world’s leading professional services companies, transforming clients’​ business, operating and technology models for the digital era. They are seeking a Music Programmer to join their team.

Programmers will have to maintain and update playlists, shelves and seasonal and ephemeral music programming initiatives on our the resident music storage platform and coordinate the execution of incorporating music on new surfaces (living room, wearables, digital assistant etc)

Skills / Experience Required:

  • Working experience with a Digital/ Music Streaming platform as a Music content/ playlist curator
  • Radio stations working as Music curator or music programmer
  • Music editorial background – Blogs, Speciality journals specific to Music
  • Working with talent agencies, management companies or record labels specifically in A&R research
  • Digital marketing only if they were researching trends in Music
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and general troubleshooting skills. Need to have excellent data management and analytical skills. Extreme attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of music streaming & playlist curation service
