Senior Editorial Lead – Apple Music ANZ (Sydney)

This work is only possible through our positive relationships with artists, labels and management. To that end, they are looking for an experienced and specialised new member of the Apple Music team. Skills / Experience Required:
- Passionate about music, artist-focused, and able to give context to music of all genres.
- Social media-savvy and in tune with streaming & musical culture, especially in Australia & New Zealand.
- Conducting interviews with music artists is second nature – you have a strong network in the musical community across genres.
- A clear eye for editorial leadership, providing direction and leadership to the local editorial team and setting the tone for editorial across Apple Music in Australia & New Zealand.

Producer – Triple J Mix Up (Sydney)
Triple J is a national radio network for young Australians and lovers of new music, encompassing triple j, triple j Unearthed and Double J. They work across radio, online, video, TV, social media and more and are recognised around the world as an authority on new music. If you love music and love making content for radio and online, then keep reading.
They’re looking for an experienced and well-connected content producer to present, curate and coordinate triple j’s Mix Up program and triple j Lunch’s Friday Mix. This is an exciting (and rare) opportunity to share your passion for programming the best local and international dance acts from right across the spectrum; from the heavy hitters headlining global festivals, to the hottest club nights across the country, and the baby DJs who’ll change the world in a couple of years to come. You have an in depth knowledge of the scene and are committed to representing its diversity, as well as motivated to contribute to the increase the profile of triple j in the Australian music community.
Skills / Experience Required:
- A working knowledge of young dance music audiences and their tastes.
- Experience in the production of specialist music content for radio, TV, print or online.
- Sound editorial judgement, ability to initiate, research and conduct interviews, meet deadlines.
- The ability to operate modern broadcast technology, including digital editing and panel operation and an understanding of new media and online technology.
- The ability to deal effectively with program guests and members of the public and willingness to be involved in station activities, outside broadcasts and promotional activities when required.
- A sound knowledge of legal issues relating to digital content and copyright.
Tasks / Responsibilities Include:
- On a weekly basis plan, research, produce and present triple j’s Mix Up program to appeal to an audience of young Australians.
- You’re not afraid of admin, love data and sending emails (and follow up emails when people don’t respond)
- Co-ordinate and develop content and for triple j’s specialist dance music program and The Friday Mix. Plan and produce dance music segments across triple j more broadly as required.
- Develop Mix Up’s presence online, including Unearthed, social media, internal browsers, and triple j website.
- Maintain all program administration, including APRA reports and other requirements.
- Promote Mix Up on a weekly basis, including writing copy, maintaining contacts in the dance community and other promotional opportunities.
- Represent and promote dance music content across triple j’s broader programs and playlist.

TV Music Producer – ITV Studios Australia (Sydney)
ITV Studios are crewing for a music-based studio reality show. Full time roles are available within the Music Department – Casting and Main Series for people with a broad understanding of music, singing, admin and knowledge of how a television production works.
Skills / Experience Required:
- Able to determine the vocal quality of a singer based off of video or live auditions;
- Able to scout a high standard of singers for the show;
- Have a full understanding of music terminology and vocal ability. Be able to communicate to artists and the music director;
- Vast knowledge of music is essential, with the ability to A&R artists from any genre;
- Able to complete administrative tasks at a high standard and assist senior team with tasks;
- Able to work in a fast paced environment with excellent communication skills;
- Able to work autonomously as well as within a team dynamic;
- Experience with APRA/AMCOS Copyright preferred but not essential;
- Experience within television/production/live shows is essential.

Music Librarian – Perth Symphony Orchestra (Perth)
The Perth Symphony Orchestra is the orchestra that breaks the rules. Perth Symphony Orchestra is seeking applications for the position of Music Librarian, commencing Monday 30th August, 2021. This role is 12h per week on average, casual employment. The nature of this work is flexible and project-specific, and hours will vary week-to-week.
Skills / Experience Required:
- Excellent communicative skills
- The ability to set and meet deadlines
- Score reading is essential
- Understanding of orchestral forces (instrumentation etc) is essential
- Skillset in Sibelius software is essential
- Broad knowledge of repertoire across genres, but primarily canonical orchestral
- Training in music composition is desirable but not essential
- Meticulousness and creativity
Tasks / Responsibilities Include:
Managements of databases:
- Sourcing music from suppliers
- Cataloguing music via digital and physical systems
- Managing the library budget
Sheet music distribution on a timeline:
- Creating folders for performing musicians, both digital and physical
- Managing sign in/out of library resources
- Maintaining and reviewing all library processes
Editing review of commissioned music:
- Assessment of musical elements/compositional choices and formatting of scores
- Occasional score editing/transposition work
Base-level artistic planning:
- Creating community programmes with the Artistic Director
- Overseeing the commission of new arrangements
