Marketing Coordinator – Perth Symphony Orchestra (Perth)

Let’s not beat around the bush – life’s better out west, and this rings especially true if you’re lucky enough to work alongside one of the country’s best symphony orchestras. For this position, the PSO are on the hunt for an experienced marketing all-rounder to join the team and help out within the brand and development team of the business.

Skills / Experience Required:

  • Degree in Marketing and / or Communications
  • 2 to 3 years’ marketing experience preferably working within a similar industry
  • Passion for music and events
  • Video creation and editing skills
  • Experience with design software (InDesign, Photoshop and/or Canva) and email marketing software (Mailchimp)
  • Experience in copywriting across multiple platforms
  • Ability to hit targets and tight deadlines
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills and a sound understanding of online media metrics with a focus on lead generation
  • Ability to work autonomously and cohesively within a team
  • Well-developed administrative and computer literacy skills

Tasks / Responsibilities Include:

  • Design and development of marketing collateral for print and digital
  • Coordination of brand development initiatives to increase brand awareness and grow database
  • Coordination of marketing campaigns and ticket sales for concerts
  • Development and implementation of social media and communication strategies
  • Analysis of SEO, SEM and advertising campaigns
  • Administration of CRM, including reporting and analysis
  • Website (WordPress) administration
  • Coordinate Perth Symphony volunteers at events
  • Coordinate functions and events
  • Seek and develop projects to develop the PSO brand
  • Be a brand champion and ensure visual identity is clearly and accurately represented wherever PSO performs
  • Provide admin and event support to Brand and Development manager

Accounts Payable Specialist – Fender Music Australia (Sydney)

Come on – we all know who Fender are. If you’ve got a bit of accounts experience under your belt and want to crack into the music industry on a part time basis, this could be a killer gig for you!

Skills / Experience Required: 

  • High level of numeracy and accuracy skills
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail and experience in managing Accounts Department common inbox
  • Effective application of rational and focused problem solving enabling quick and accurate resolution of problems
  • 2-3 years prior experience in a similar role
  • Certificate in Accounting, Diploma of Accounting, or an equivalent qualification
  • Experience in using SAP or any other ERP G/L system
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel – V-lookups, Pivot table)

Tasks / Responsibilities Include: 

  • An exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Finance team in Alexandria, NSW. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for timely entering and processing invoices (with and without Purchase orders) in SAP R/3 module.
  • Apply operational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to ensure all invoices are processed accurately and on time.
  • Keeping a close track of unprocessed items. Review and verify the accuracy of invoices and obtain approvals as per company policies.
  • Perform reconciliations including supplier statement reconciliations, and month end AP reconciliations by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Attend to Accounts Payable queries promptly and professionally, escalating any unknown issues appropriately
  • Assist Accountant in preparation of month accruals and prepayment journals
  • Provide support to update and maintain vendor central database in a timely manner and identify improvements to the accounts payable process
  • Adhere to departmental confidentiality, Company’s policy requirements, compliance, and recordkeeping standards
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance department, assist Accountant and Financial Reporting Manager in other activities as required

Junior Production Assistant – Australian Merch Co. (Melbourne)

Want to help out with the production of some threads and make yourself some sweet moolah? Here’s one you won’t want to miss – Australian Merch Co. are currently accepting applications for a junior production assistant to help out with day-to-day operations at their home in Ferntree Gully.

Skills / Experience Required:

Post Producer – Rumble Studios (Sydney)

Based in Chippendale, Rumble Studios are a boutique sound design and music post-production firm with their roots in the advertising industry. They’ve currently got an opening for a Post Producer to join their offices and help put the final gloss on their work before it goes to the public – huge!

Skills / Experience Required: 

  • A minimum 2 years experience in the industry
  • Experience supervising post production on commercials, short films or features
  • A strong sense of client services
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly energetic and people oriented
  • Experience in managing budgets and schedules

Tasks / Responsibilities Include: 

  • Liaising with agencies, production companies and voice/acting agents to quote and schedule projects
  • Briefing engineers and music producers on projects
  • Managing projects throughout the post-production process, including voice casting, booking talent and file management
  • Reconciling and invoicing projects upon completion
  • Networking, building and maintaining collaborative relationships with our clients, freelance and full-time team members
