The NTS-2 is a powerful tool geared for a multitude of studio tasks. Easily constructed, and coming in kit form, this oscilloscope features a waveform generator, spectrum analyser, and tuner functions. With dual stereo inputs, the NTS-2 can display four signals to be studied at once.
Pocket-sized in its build, this utility kit has multiple colour display formats, and an interface that is navigable via menu buttons and a one-touch encoder. Also included is a Fast Fourier Transform mode, or FFT, that features the real-time spectrum analyser and dual waveform generator.
The two oscillators can make a variety of waveforms, including triangle, sawtooth, square, pulse, sine, and noise. Additionally, they can be used in audio range or as control voltage sources. The NTS-2 comes to life with either a USB-C connector or two AA batteries.
The second half of the bundle, Patch & Tweak with Korg, is a 216-page hardcover book on Korg and ARP semi-modular synthesisers. Featuring tips, tutorials, and history, the book includes a foreword by recording artist and composer, Kitaro, as well as exclusive interviews with the likes of Pete Townshend, Jean-Michel Jarre, and Richard Devine.
