Inspired by songwriter’s own Les Paul Custom, the new Jerry Cantrell “Wino” comes in a visually stunning Dark Wine-Red finish, while the Les Paul Custom Prophecy is colourised with Bone White.
Made to Cantrell’s specifications, the “Wino” is constructed with a nine-hole weight-relieved mahogany body, fitted with a plain maple top. This guitar also boasts gold hardware, Grover Rotomatic Kidney tuners, as well as an Alnico Classic PRO humbucker with a gold cover in the neck position. Featuring on the neck is a Cantrell custom taper and written on the truss rod cover is Jerry Cantrell’s name.
Conversely, the Jerry Cantrell Les Paul Prophecy is a pure blend of traditional and modern features, with a double-bound mahogany body with a maple cap mixed with Ultra-Modern weight relief.
The neck is ebony with 24 jumbo frets and allows for tuning stability with Grover locking Rotamatic tuners and a Graph Tech nut. Its custom-voiced Fishman Fluence pickups deliver a “Patent Applied For” vintage humbucker for a warm sound, as well as a hot modern humbucker and single-coil. These can all be accessed with push/pull volume and tone pots. Jerry’s personal touch can be seen in the Cantrell neck profile, Circle in Diamond custom fretboard inlays and brushed nickel hardware.
Similarly to the ‘Wino’, the ‘Prophecy’ will also feature the guitarist’s name on the truss rod cover, and the JJ circle logo on the rear of the headstock.
Both including a hard-cover case, these guitars are now available.
